Q. Tell us about your work?
A. The idea behind the MoNkey BiZness installation is difficult to sum up as just a simple art collection, it is much more complex than that. It is a movement, a kind of enlightened way of thought expressed through paintings on canvas, a street sticker campaign, and 3D installments. The work is meant to to unmask ourselves for what we truly are, a primal being trapped inside of a world that rejects us. The primary focus of MoNkey BiZness is to unleash our inner primal being that has been trapped deep within us, so that we can evolve and reach are full potential as human beings. This signature collection was unveiled at the historical Mission art gallery Cellspace, in San Francisco CA.
Q. What advice do you have for your peers?
A. My advice to any young up-incoming artist out in the world is to just go for it. Go out and find out what statement you want to make about your world, as you see it. Explore what makes people around you tick, and what really truly inspires you to make your statement to the world. Life is right outside your door, so go out and seise every opportunity you have to make it count. It is not an easy road, but that is part of the fun. Be prepared for rejection, but have optimism that what you are doing is right and necessary for the public. Never take no for an answer. Put everything you have into your work, and some day all the hard work will pay off.
